Let me tell you a story about me.
Some years ago, I started going to the gym. You get there, you lift and push some weights and as a result, your muscles grow. It’s a simple process, but man… I think it’s beautiful and I felt totally in love with it.
I just couldn’t wait to go back there again so I could lift more weight and become stronger. So, what did I do? I started training every day. Every single day I was there pushing those weights and some other days I was there running.
That’s the catabolic part. Explained in a straightforward way, catabolism it’s when you go on offence mode and break down your muscle fibres so that when they, they grow bigger and stronger.
I felt like a warrior!
But then, after a few days of doing that, I got completely burnt out…
There I quickly realized I forgot the other side of the coin, something very important… the anabolic part. Explained in a straightforward way, anabolism it’s the process of building up cells – recovering. This is where you actually grow and get stronger, when you are not training and mostly when you are sleeping.
After the battle, you have to put down your sword so you can sharpen it. You have to rest so you can recover and be ready for the next battle. It’s a very hard thing to do, but you just can’t ignore that part. That’s how the game works – there comes the time when you have to know it’s right to put down the sword and rest or else you will pay the price for not doing so. And If we were talking about a real battle, imagine what that price would be…
It’s that crucial.
THE WORLD DUALITY
This kind of duality exists in everything.
You can’t have day time without night time. The good without the bad.
The sweet doesn’t taste that sweet without the sour. Atoms are made of protons – positive, and electrons – negative. Love, hate…
The screen you’re looking at? That’s right, it’s all 0’s and 1’s.
The most precious example of all – our life. It only exists when you combine two extreme opposites. Two equally beautiful but beautifully different energies – the masculine and the feminine.
BE ALL IN
Go on and give it all at the battle. You have to, it’s your duty and your responsibility, whatever the battle it is. You give your best like never before.
But when you finish it… When the battle is finally over – you let go of it totally and you yield to the resting phase – fully embrace it.
You just feel like crying? Don’t try to resist it, be OK with it – because we are supposed to go through those moments. But know too, that after the darkest hour… that is when the sun rises.
Men must be men and women must be women.
We know what this means, we really do. We might just be a little lost sometimes, and probably we were told we shouldn’t be this or that way or maybe sometimes we are just afraid.
But whatever side you belong, deep down, you know it.
You should do it, you should express it fully without any holding back. It shouldn’t even cross your mind if what you are about to do or say is going to be accepted or if it is right.
If it comes from your core energy, it will be a true expression of your masculine or feminine self, and that is perfectly enough. That is all the world needs from you.
Regarding all realms of things, we always got to have both. We got to know how to fully accept both. We NEED both. When one of the sides is stronger than the other, the balance and the natural flow of things is disturbed.
Everything that’s worth happening or existing, is in the middle, composed of an equal dose of both and on a never-ending oscillation.
One… can’t just exist without the other. That’s the beauty of it.
Thank you for reading. Stay sharp.
